The final episode had over 106 million viewers watching across the world, which was 77% of the television audience at the time. Ending the story of the front line medical unit supporting the American army during the Korean War.

Whilst the show began on a rocking start, with the threat of cancellation due to low ratings during season one. The show quickly gained an audience and still holds the record for the highest viewing of a final season episode.
